CTE is seeking a Project Accountant to manage the financial aspects of multiple high-profile, multi-sponsor projects in accordance with the terms and conditions of each project contract. The Project Accountant will collaborate closely with CTE project managers, subcontractors, and the CTE accounting team to uphold the reliability and integrity of project financials throughout each project's lifecycle. Primary responsibilities include project budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, reconciliations, and timely and accurate analysis of financial information to support decision-making on the execution of project deliverables.

Responsibilities
- Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, reconciliation, and financial analysis
- Ensure compliance with project contracts and regulatory requirements, including federal, state, and local reporting requirements
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely project invoice packages, including all supporting documentation

CTE partners with professional associations in the zero-emission transit industry to help advance the adoption of zero-emission buses and provide support to transit agencies interested in fleet electrification. CTE is seeking a full-time, Workforce Development Associate to directly support the administration and programming of a training organization for the transit workforce. CTE’s industry partners in this work consist of stakeholders from transit agencies, educational institutions, and the private sector. Prior experience with zero-emission vehicles is not needed, but attention to detail and the ability to support multiple customers simultaneously are key. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently to overcome obstacles, suggest better approaches, and communicate effectively – verbally, visually, and in writing. CTE is seeking to add a dedicated Federal PolicyAssociate and Grant Writer. This dual-capacity role will equally split its focus between supporting federal advocacy efforts for CTE’s Advocacy Team and supporting federal grant proposals for the Proposal Team. The ideal candidate is a deadline-driven team player with outstanding writing, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Applicants must also have the ability to consistently monitor and analyze federal legislation and grant program opportunities, draft policy briefs, collaborate with industry stakeholders, and write coherent, organized, and compelling proposals. For this position, CTE prefers candidates that are committed to CTE’s mission and that have experience working on public grant opportunities from federal government entities. Preference will also be given to candidates that are passionate about or have direct experience working in environmental policy.
Responsibilities
Policy Associate
- Monitor, analyze, and track federal legislation and regulatory actions
- Draft policy briefs, memos, and reports
- Attend and summarize congressional hearings, agency policy briefs, and webinars
- RepresentCTE at relevant coalition and stakeholder weekly and biweekly meetings
- Assist in the preparation of comments on proposed regulations and programs
- Support senior policy staff in advocacy efforts and contribute to the development of advocacy materials such as one-pagers, blogs, newsletters, and industry support letters
- Research and maintain a current understanding of relevant policy issues
- Assist with the coordination of meetings and briefings with stakeholders and policymakers
- Manage administrative tasks, including maintaining a database of legislative, regulatory, and stakeholder information
Grant Writer
- Research grant opportunities from government agencies
- Identify opportunities that align with CTE’s mission and the qualifications of our members
- Support/lead the development of grant proposals in collaboration with multiple stakeholders across multiple markets
- Outline and track solicitation requirements to ensure competitiveness and completeness
- Set and adhere to strict deadlines to ensure timely completion of deliverables across multiple stakeholders
- Draft and submit final grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the solicitation
- Develop relationships with funding agencies, sponsors, and other stakeholders
- Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals
- Display adherence to the organization’s mission and maintain proficient knowledge of the CTE’s history and programs
- Assist with the development of internal processes and procedures related to grant management
- Work with CTE’s Salesforce Administrator to maintain a detailed database of CTE’s pending and awarded project pipeline
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field
- 3+ years proposal/grant writing experience
- Experience using Salesforce or similar database software

CTE is seeking a full-time Engineering Associate to provide technical analysis to transportation electrification projects. This position will use analytic tools such as Excel, Python scripts, simulations, databases, and data visualization tools on a daily basis. This role also offers the opportunity to further develop leadership skills over time with both client interactions and improving CTE’s technical processes and tools. Job duties may also include administrative work such as technical report writing, presentations to audiences with a variety of backgrounds, facilitating meetings with clients, and supporting grant applications.
