Background and Award Information

The California Energy Commission has released a solicitation for projects that will deploy commercial electric vehicle charging infrastructure paired with behind-the-meter microgrids. Projects must be eligible for, and enroll in either Pacific Gas & Electric’s “Flex Connect” or Southern California Edison’s “Automated Load Control Management System” pilots. Approximately $12 million is available for grants awarded under this solicitation. Maximum funding amounts range from $3.75 to $4.5 million, depending on project type, with 30% required match share for all projects.
