Background and Award Information

California Air Resources Board is now accepting applications for the California Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project’s heavy-duty funding segment, which incentivizes the purchase of zero-emission off-road vehicles. A total of $36.1 million in funding is available for a variety of equipment types including agriculture, construction, mobile power units, airport ground support equipment, large forklift, cargo handling equipment, transport refrigeration unit, railcar movers/freight locomotives, and commercial harbor craft. Purchased equipment must be domiciled and operated for at least three years in California after the voucher redemption date. Equipment purchasers must also submit activity reports for three years.

Eligible Applicants

Eligible applicants include small businesses and public agencies. Maximum voucher amounts vary by equipment type but are capped at $1 million.
