Background and Award Information

The MEA, in partnership with the Interagency Commission on School Construction, has announced the FY26 Decarbonizing Public Schools Program to help local education agencies develop capacity and advanced strategies for promoting clean and efficient energy use. A total of $36 million is available across multiple areas of interest, including the planning and installation of solar systems.
