Background and Award Information

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) will open the next Electric Vehicle Rebate Program funding round on October 28, 2025. IEPA has been allocated $14 million in total funding for this program. Illinois residents that purchase a new or used all-electric vehicle from an Illinois licensed dealer, meet all other eligibility requirements, and apply during a rebate cycle will be eligible for a rebate. Applicants must apply during the rebate cycle window and within 180 days of purchase of the vehicle. Applicants that certify as low income are given an enhanced rebate and priority in disbursement.
