Background and Award Information

The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) has announced new funding is available through the state’s Driving a Cleaner Illinois program. IEPA is now accepting applications to fund a portion of the eligible costs associated with the replacement (not repower) of eligible on-road diesel Class 4-8 medium- and heavy-duty local freight trucks and Class 8 port drayage trucks. Eligible vehicles include those used to haul and deliver freight or cargo, including delivery/box trucks, waste haulers, Class 8 port drayage trucks, landscape trucks, dump trucks, and freight/transport trucks.
