Background and Award Information

The Kansas Metropolitan Energy Center has issued a request for applications for Diesel Emissions Reduction Act funding to replace diesel vehicles with cleaner alternatives. Eligible vehicle types include school and transit buses, delivery and freight vehicles, yard trucks, and work trucks. A total of $1.7 million in funding is available and electric vehicles are eligible for rebates of up to 45% of total vehicle costs.

Eligible Applicants

Individuals are not eligible to apply and projects must be based in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, or Nebraska.
