Background and Award Information

The South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) has released a new funding opportunity for the Lower-Emission School Bus Program in the South Coast Air Basin. This program is designed to assist public school districts with the purchase of new Type A, C, or D zero-emission school buses. Eligible applicants include public school districts and Joint Power Authorities formed by public school districts within the geographical boundaries of the South Coast AQMD. There is $45 million in funding available and applications are due on April 18, 2025.
