Background and Award Information

South Coast Air Quality Management District has announced the availability of approximately $50 million in funding to convert or replace existing diesel cargo handling equipment and transport refrigeration units to cleaner technologies. Funding for supporting infrastructure, such as battery electric yard truck chargers, is available for certain equipment types.

Applications will open October 28, 2025 and will be accepted until January 28, 2026 or until program funds are encumbered.
