Background and Award Information

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has announced an eligibility expansion to the New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP). The NYTVIP offers vouchers to commercial and municipal fleet owners and operators across New York State who purchase or lease medium- and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles and equipment. With this expansion, NYSERDA will make funding available for new zero-emission agricultural, construction, rail, and warehouse non-road equipment, as well as Class 3 vehicles, and will distribute funding along three tracks: non-road equipment, zero-emission Class 3—8 trucks and buses, and transit buses. Voucher amounts vary based on the selected funding track. NYSERDA expects to release an additional $53 million in program funding in August 2025, following the enrollment of expanded equipment and truck manufacturers and dealers. NYSERDA will host a series of informational webinars in June and July to provide program updates and explain eligibility changes.
