Background and Award Information

The Virginia Clean Energy Innovation Bank has announced $1.24M in funding through the Virginia Grid Reliability Improvement Program to support projects that enhance the resilience of Virginia’s electrical grid against wildfires, extreme weather, and other natural crises. Proposals must meet one or more of five objectives, including enabling consumer access to reliable, affordable and increasingly clean energy. Large applicants must match 100% of the federal allocation awarded and an additional 15% state match.
