Background and Award Information

The Department of Energy and Environment is soliciting applications from eligible entities to plan, purchase, install, own, operate, and maintain publicly accessible electric vehicle charging infrastructure at or near DC Government-owned sites. The grant aims to improve air quality, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and support access to clean transportation options.

Eligible Applicants

Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, universities/educational institutions, and private enterprises. $609,500 in funding is available through the Volkswagen Settlement Fund.
