Background
The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has released the FY2025 combined Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Low or No Emission Grant Program (Low-No) and the Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive Program. FTA has allocated $1.1 billion in funds to support the deployment of low- or zero emission vehicles and related infrastructure through Low-No. Another $398 million is available for the Buses and Bus Facilities Program.

Eligible Applicants
Eligible applicants include direct or designated recipients of FTA grants; States; local governmental authorities; and Indian Tribes. Except for projects proposed by Indian Tribes, proposals for funding eligible projects in rural (non-urbanized) areas must be submitted as part of a consolidated state proposal. States and other eligible applicants also may submit consolidated proposals for projects in urbanized areas.

FTA will host a public webinar on June 4, 2025 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm ET.

Applications are due July 14, 2025.
