Background and Award Information

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) has announced the opening of their ninth annual Renewable Energy Standard (RES) request for proposals. NYSERDA’s RES program aims to accelerate the deployment and construction of clean energy projects throughout the state of New York. Through the 2025 solicitation, NYSERDA seeks to procure 5.6 million Tier 1 eligible Renewable Energy Certificates from facilities with a viable path to entering commercial operation in the near future. To be eligible for program inclusion, applicants must complete a two-step application process.

Important Dates

Step one is an Eligibility Application due October 21, 2025. Only those Proposers found eligible under Step One will be permitted to submit a Step Two Bid Proposal, which will be due December 4, 2025.
