Background and Award Information

The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs and the Alabama Department of Transportation are now accepting applications for funds administered through the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program for funding to strategically deploy electric vehicle charging stations to establish an interconnected network to facilitate data collection, access, and reliability. Charging infrastructure projects will be scored and awarded through a competitive grant through a design-build-operate-maintain project delivery method. $2M is set aside for workforce development projects.
