Background and Award Information

The Butte County Air Quality Management District has announced the availability of more than $700,000 in Community Air Protection Program funds for projects that meet the goals of AB 617. Eligible projects include installing Vehicle battery charging infrastructure, replacement of diesel emergency backup generators with Tier 4 diesel or zero-emission battery technology, and the replacement of heavy-duty on-road or off-road vehicles with cleaner technologies in advance of any state regulations.
