Background and Award Information
The California Air Pollution Control Officers Association (CAPCOA) expects to open the Carl Moyer Rural Assistance Program to applications on November 17, 2025. This grant opportunity funds the re-powering or retrofitting of existing heavy-duty engines and vehicles, as well as the purchase of new engines or vehicles to reduce associated emissions more than required by existing air pollution regulations. Individual awards will be capped at $100,000. Eligible applicants include individuals, private companies, and public agencies.
