Background and Award Information

The California Energy Commission has announced the availability of $45 million in Clean Transportation Program funds to support the deployment of hydrogen refueling infrastructure for light-, medium-, and heavy-duty on-road fuel cell electric vehicles in California. Stations must be publicly accessible unless they are intended to serve school or transit buses.

A pre-application workshop will be held April 23, 2026 and applications are due June 19, 2026.
