Background and Award Information

The Colorado Energy Office (CEO) is opening the Fall 2026 round of its EV Home Charge (EVHC) grant program, which funds electric panel and wiring upgrades to make EV charging easier and more affordable to install at single-family homes, duplexes, and townhomes, particularly in older housing. Colorado electric cooperatives and municipal utilities are eligible to apply for funding to provide customer rebates for these home upgrades; investor-owned utilities are not eligible. The program does not fund community, workplace, or other publicly available charging, which is instead directed to CEO’s Charge Ahead Colorado program.

The application round opens October 13, 2026 and closes November 13, 2026.
