Background and Award Information

ComEd has announced more than $68 million in funding for its 2026 Electric Vehicle Rebate Programs to support EV adoption and charging infrastructure across its northern Illinois service territory. Offerings include over $4 million for residential Level 2 charger and installation rebates of up to $2,500 per household; more than $35 million for business and public sector fleet EV purchase or lease rebates ranging from $7,500 to $240,000 per vehicle across all weight classes; and more than $29 million for business and public sector make-ready rebates to support Level 2 and DC Fast Charging infrastructure, with incentives up to $5,000–$7,500 per Level 2 port and $450–$675 per kW for DC Fast Chargers. More than 50% of total program funding is reserved for low-income customers and projects located in or primarily serving low-income and Equity Investment Eligible Communities, which may qualify for enhanced rebate amounts.

Program funding is available for 2026 on a rolling basis, subject to available funds.
