Background and Award Information

The U.S. Department of Energy has issued a funding opportunity of up to $500 million to support domestic critical minerals and materials processing, recycling, and manufacturing projects. Funding will prioritize commercial-scale and demonstration projects that strengthen U.S. supply chains for key materials such as lithium, graphite, nickel, and rare earth elements.
