Background and Award Information

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) is accepting applications for the FY 2026 Low or No Emission (Low-No) Program and the Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Program. Together, the programs provide approximately $610 million in competitive funding to help transit agencies purchase low- and zero-emission buses, construct or modernize bus facilities, and deploy the charging or fueling infrastructure needed to support advanced transit technologies. Eligible applicants include designated recipients, states, local governmental authorities, and federally recognized Indian Tribes that provide or allocate funding for public transportation.
