Background and Award Information

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services is offering approximately $2.5 million through the Granite State Clean Fleets Grant, a competitive reimbursement program funded by the Volkswagen Mitigation Trust. The program supports projects that reduce transportation-related emissions by scrapping and replacing older diesel vehicles, engines, and equipment with newer, cleaner alternatives, including electric, hybrid, propane, and compressed natural gas technologies, as well as marine shore power installations. Eligible applicants include public entities, private companies, and nonprofit organizations operating in New Hampshire.

Applications are accepted on a rolling monthly basis or until funding is fully obligated.
