Background and Award Information
The Massachusetts Clean Energy Technology Center (MassCEC) seeks applications for subawards for preventing outages and enhancing the resilience of the electric grid through funding from the U.S. Department of Energy. Eligible subrecipients include grid operators, electricity storage operators, distribution providers, fuel suppliers, and electricity generators. Eligible projects include microgrids and battery-storage subcomponents, advanced modeling technologies, and adaptive protection technologies. During this round, MassCEC may prefer applicants that seek to enable or otherwise support microgrid development with a focus on critical facilities, like battery energy storage systems that provide support during disruptive events.
