Background and Award Information

The Maryland Energy Administration is accepting applications for the Medium-Duty and Heavy-Duty Zero-Emission Vehicle Grant Program. The program provides grants covering up to 75% of the incremental cost of eligible medium- and heavy-duty electric or hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, zero-emission heavy equipment, and electric school buses. Supplemental funding is also available for the installation of charging infrastructure paired with eligible vehicle purchases. Eligible applicants include public school districts, school bus contractors, commercial and industrial entities, agricultural operations, fleet operators, and manufacturers.
