Background and Award Information

The Maryland State Highway Administration has released a Request for Proposals for Design-Build contracts to design, construct, operate, and maintain EV charging stations in accordance with the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program. Applicants can request up to 80% of federal funds for eligible costs and match at least 20% of costs from non-federal sources. Proposed sites but be within the nine designated target areas listed in the solicitation. Maryland is encouraging prospective applicants to initiate utility service requests and pre-applications for the Round 3 sites.
