Background and Award Information

MetroLINK is seeking qualified firms to provide design services, shipyard procurement support, commissioning, and charging infrastructure coordination for one battery-electric small passenger ferry. The project will expand the Channel Cat Water Taxi fleet with a zero-emission vessel and supporting charging infrastructure to serve a 10.5-mile route on the Mississippi River. The procurement is funded in part by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, and Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
