Background and Award Information
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) has announced the availability of $5 million in funding for the deployment of non-publicly available Level 2 alternating current (AC) electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. Eligible projects should focus on the deployment of Level 2 AC EV charging stations at existing multifamily housing properties and/or new multifamily developments. Funding is available to help cover make-ready upgrade costs, maintenance and operations contracts, and networking or data plans for both existing multifamily housing properties and new multifamily developments. The maximum individual grant award is $300,000, and grant awards will be distributed on a reimbursement basis only, meaning grantees must pay project costs in full prior to receiving funds from EGLE.
Important Dates
EGLE will accept and process applications on a first come, first serve basis until funding is exhausted.
