Background and Award Information
The Michigan Department of Transportation has released Round 3 of its National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program, providing approximately $51 million in funding to support the development, operation, and maintenance of publicly accessible direct current fast charging stations across the state. The program seeks to expand Michigan’s EV charging network by addressing remaining infrastructure gaps and supporting strategically located charging sites that meet federal NEVI requirements. Eligible applicants include site hosts, charging network operators, developers, utilities, and other entities capable of deploying and operating EV charging infrastructure.
