Background and Award Information

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has opened Round 3a of its National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Formula Program Request for Proposals. With Minnesota's alternative fuel corridors now certified as fully built out, this round makes $41.18 million in obligated NEVI funds available for direct current fast-charging (DCFC) stations at 74 eligible clusters across other roadways in the state. Each application may propose only one site, and applicants may submit only one application per cluster. MnDOT intends to make up to 40 awards this round, with no more than one award per cluster.
