Background and Award Information

‍The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) has announced an additional $9.1 million in funding to support the electrification of local government medium- and heavy-duty diesel vehicles through NJDEP’s WorkClean: Diesel Modernization Program. The program provides reimbursement funding on a first-come, first-served basis for the replacement of eligible local government vehicles, including shuttles, transit buses, garbage trucks, dump trucks, and small Type A/B school buses. Vehicles being replaced must be permanently decommissioned with documented proof.
