Background and Award Information

The New Mexico Environment Department is soliciting proposals for Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) projects. Eligible projects include the retrofit or replacement of diesel vehicles and equipment throughout the state. Equipment and vehicle categories include school and transit buses; Class 5–8 heavy-duty highway vehicles; marine engines; locomotives; and nonroad engines, equipment, or vehicles such as those used in construction, cargo handling, agriculture, mining, or energy production. Approximately $528,000 is available for projects through this solicitation.
