Background and Award Information

The New Mexico Energy, Minerals and Natural Resources Department is currently accepting applications for multiple project types, including those that will conduct original research supporting grid integration of renewable and zero-carbon resources, perform design activities in support of grid modernization projects, or construct, install, operate, and verify grid modernization technology at a project site within New Mexico.

Eligible Applicants

Eligible applicants include municipalities and county governments, state agencies, state universities, public schools, post-secondary education institutions, and Indian nations, tribes and pueblos. Recipients must comply with rules governing Community Benefits Fund Act funding.

Important Dates

Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis beginning November 1 until all available funds are allocated.
