Background and Award Information

The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality State Energy Office is offering approximately $8.6 million through the Preventing Outages and Enhancing the Resilience of the Electric Grid Formula Grant Program. Funding will support projects that modernize and improve grid resilience, including infrastructure upgrades and technologies that reduce the impact of severe weather and other grid disruptions. Fifty percent of funding is reserved for small utilities.
