Background and Award Information

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has opened Round 2 of its NEVI Community Charging program for the Western Region, part of a statewide effort directing roughly $100 million in federal National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) funds to public, community-focused EV charging. Approximately $25 million is planned for the Western Region to support new public charging stations and upgrades to existing ones at publicly available locations across the region. Eligible applicants include site hosts, EV charging companies, installation contractors, and charging network providers.
