Background and Award Information

PennDOT has opened Round 4 of its NEVI Community Charging program for the Eastern Region, part of a statewide effort directing roughly $100 million in federal NEVI funds to public, community-focused EV charging. Approximately $33 million is reserved for the Central Region to support new public charging stations and upgrades to existing ones at publicly available locations across the region. Eligible applicants include site hosts, EV charging companies, installation contractors, and charging network providers.

Important Dates

The deadline to submit technical questions is November 23, 2026.

Proposal submissions open December 7, 2026 and close March 12, 2027.
