Background and Award Information

The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) is offering approximately $1 million through the Recharge the Adventure New Hampshire program to install publicly available Level 2 EV charging at travel and tourism destinations across the state. The program reimburses up to 80% of eligible costs, capped at $10,000 per port, and is open to public, private, and nonprofit entities operating in New Hampshire. Each project must install at least two ports, with awards capped at $100,000 per municipality and a minimum of $40,000 reserved for each of the state's nine regional planning commission territories. NHDES is accepting applications on a rolling monthly basis.

Applications are accepted on a rolling monthly basis and scored by the 15th of each calendar month, with the first due date on November 15, 2026.
