Background and Award Information
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is accepting applications for the Texas Clean School Bus Program. The program provides funding to Texas school districts for the repower or replacement of existing diesel-fueled school buses with new versions, including electric school buses. All public school districts and open-enrollment charter schools in Texas are eligible to apply.

Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until May 22, 2026, while funds remain.
