Background and Award Information

The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation is accepting applications through the Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust to support the replacement of eligible diesel vehicles and equipment with cleaner technologies. Funding is available for projects that reduce emissions from vehicles and equipment such as school buses, transit buses, medium- and heavy-duty trucks, freight switchers, ferries, airport ground support equipment, forklifts, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, consistent with Vermont's Beneficiary Mitigation Plan.
