Background and Award Information

The Washington State Department of Transportation is seeking statements of qualifications to establish a short-list of qualified design-build contractors for an upcoming RFP to enable charging of hybrid electric vessels at Seattle Terminal Slips 1 and 3 through construction of a medium voltage charging system. The estimated contract cost of the project is approximately $80 to $120 million.

An optional meeting will be held April 28, 2026 and statements of qualifications are due June 1, 2026.
