The California Air Resources Board (CARB) has announced the release of a Request for Information (RFI) for the Manufacturing Decarbonization Incentive (MDI) allocation, which supports investments in low-carbon technologies and fuels at eligible industrial facilities covered by CARB’s Cap-and-Invest Program.

Through this RFI, CARB staff are inviting input and recommendations from interested parties regarding implementation of the MDI, including input on the direction provided in Board Resolution (BR) 26-7. Input will also help inform a future public workshop. The full Request for Information can be found here. Responses are due by November 20, 2026.
