House Passes Key Funding for FTA Low or No Emission Vehicle Program
The U.S. House of Representatives voted on Monday to pass its Fiscal Year 2020 (FY20) Appropriations Bill, The bill includes several key provisions related to the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Low or No Emission Vehicle Program (Low-No), including setting funding levels at $75 million for FY2020, a huge win for proponents of zero-emission vehicles all over the United States.

Newly Released CTE Study Looks at Cold Weather Effects on Electric Bus Range
CTE, in partnership with the Midwest Hydrogen Center of Excellence (MHCoE), Cleveland State University (CSU), and the Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA) have released a study evaluating the relationship between ambient temperature and fuel economy for zero-emission buses.

CTE's Work Electrifying the Heavy-Duty Vehicle Industry Featured on Advanced Clean Tech News
CTE wrote an article for ACT News on our work to electrify the heavy-duty vehicle industry. Transportation accounts for 30% of the greenhouse gas emissions in the US with 25% of these emissions coming from the medium and heavy-duty vehicle markets. Consider this within the context that medium and heavy-duty vehicles represent just 4% of the vehicles on the road. This is the driver behind our work removing fossil fueled vehicles from the road.

CTE to Work with Anheuser-Busch to Deploy 21 BYD Electric Trucks
Anheuser-Busch, BYD (Build Your Dreams), the Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE), and ENGIE Services U.S. (ENGIE) announced that Anheuser-Busch will be deploying 21 BYD battery electric trucks in their California fleet as part of a state project to showcase economically and environmentally sustainable warehousing and distribution technology. This is a landmark achievement as the largest Class 8 electric truck deployment in North America.

Proterra's First Bus to be Exhibited at U.S. National Bus Museum
Last weekend, Proterra's first zero-emission bus (ZEB) was inducted into the National Bus Museum in Hershey, PA. This bus was successfully designed, built, and demonstrated around North America under a partnership between the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Proterra, and CTE, among others.
