CTE Hosts One-on-One Speed Networking Event for Zero-Emission Professionals in Transit and Truck Industries
CTE's second-annual One-on-One Transit and inaugural One-on-One Trucks events were a huge success, bringing zero-emission transportation and infrastructure suppliers together with fleet operators to ask questions and share industry expertise. These back-to-back speed-networking events hosted March 20 - 24 in Atlanta, GA offered CTE Members an exclusive opportunity to grow connections with fleet owner operators from across the country.
One-on-one Transit welcomed 50 transit directors and 25 sponsor-supplier for two days of small group supplier presentations, interactive roundtables, social networking, and one-on-one meetings. Discussion included hydrogen fuel cell buses as an alternative to battery-electric, public-private partnerships, best practices in ZEB project management, and more.
Following One-on-One Transit, CTE invited suppliers and operators of Class 6 through Class 8 trucks to One-on-One Trucks. Representatives from Amazon, TTSI, Anheuser-Busch, and more discussed industry topics and insights for commercial applications of electric truck evolution. This direct communication between suppliers and operators creates positive feedback loops of informed innovation. Both parties walk away with stronger confidence in the future direction of zero-emission transportation and a deeper understanding of on-the-ground needs.
"CTE's One-on-One events offer a unique opportunity for direct, in-person conversations and dialogue between technology suppliers and the agencies that are using these technologies to provide emissions reductions in their communities," said CTE Executive Director Dan Raudebaugh. "Suppliers are able to show off the innovation in their technologies and operators are able to communicate the real-world needs and challenges they face, which sets the stage for technology innovation based on the needs of the transportation industry."
Event attendee Doug Holcomb, Chief Executive Officer at Greater Bridgeport Transit said, "This event was superb. I liked every session and learned a heck of a lot. I would even say that for me, it was transformative. Logistics, accommodations and food were all superb."
bpPulse, Heliox, and Shell were VIP Sponsors of the events. Attendees heard keynote addresses from bpPulse and Shell and had an opportunity to tour Heliox's newly built headquarters and learn more about their rapid charging solutions.
CTE looks forward to continuing to bring people together to develop and commercialize clean, efficient, and sustainable transportation technologies.
