CTE's Annual Zero Emission Bus Conference Goes Online

June 24, 2020
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Join CTE for a virtual networking and learning experience as we bring together leaders from transit, schools, universities, and airports for the premier conversation on electric buses.

Atlanta, GA, June 2020:
The Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE)'s 2020 International Zero Emission Bus Conference→ will be going online, with a carefully curated webinar  & panel series.

The free virtual event will take place online from September 15th-17th, bringing together transportation leaders from around the world to explore the challenges, opportunities, and best practices for bus electrification.

The eighth-annual conference will encompass three days of battery and fuel cell electric bus programming, with two 1-hour core webinar sessions per day and curated networking forums in the afternoons. Fleet operators are the primary speakers, providing insightful case studies from the field. In preparation for the conference, CTE will host an introductory ZEB 101 course in August, covering the basic building blocks of this clean transportation technology.

This year's online event will highlight the emergence of new markets, such as electric school buses, airport shuttles, and university transport. Additional areas of focus include utility engagement, full fleet transition planning, international successes, and the relationship between battery-electric and fuel cell applications.

Since 2011, CTE has hosted the ZEB Conference to educate industry professionals with practical information for making smart, informed electric bus and infrastructure decisions.

These clean vehicles offer many benefits but also bring new considerations for fleet managers that must be handled intentionally with data-driven decisions. CTE aims to successfully develop and commercialize clean energy technologies. We want to see every bus fleet succeed for the good of the industry and, ultimately, the good of the planet.

To ensure the safety of our staff, clients, members, and fellow zero-emission advocates, CTE has decided to transition the 2020 conference to a fully online event. CTE will reschedule the Denver conference for the fall of 2021.
