The Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE) is supporting the Central Ohio Transportation Authority (COTA) in their battery electric bus and charging infrastructure Safety and Security Certification, as outlined in Federal Transit Administration Report No. 0252. Tasks include a review of COTA’s existing safety program and documentation, certifiable elements and items documentation including a preliminary hazard assessment and threat and vulnerability assessment, design criteria conformance documentation including bus, charger, and facility specifications, review and enhancement of training programs and standard operating procedures, as well as an operational readiness verification prior to the final safety and security certification.
