The Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE) was tasked with providing technical support to Metro St. Louis throughout the Request for Proposals (RFP) development and response evaluation process for plug-in depot charging equipment and related infrastructure. CTE coordinated with a subcontractor to provide professional services for developing a conceptual level design and independent cost estimate for adding electric charging equipment to the existing Metro St. Louis DeBaliviere facility.
CTE revised and updated charging system technical specifications in support of the RFP for the battery electric bus charging system at DeBaliviere, coordinated and provided oversight during independent cost estimate development, provided technical support during the RFP issuance and evaluation process for the charging system, and performed a review of the technical scope for the current infrastructure project plan.
Additionally, CTE is providing ongoing technical assistance to Metro throughout the infrastructure project execution, including technical reviews of design drawings, guidance on development of the charging system commissioning plan, and technical reviews of proposed design changes to allow for integration with future photovoltaic systems.
