The Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE) supports Stryten Energy in its strategic pursuit of funds and grant opportunities from federal, state, and local governments. CTE screened new funding opportunities and presented them to Stryten’s management on a weekly basis. As promising funding opportunities appeared, the project team maintained and organized next steps and action items on funding opportunities approved for work by Stryten.

CTE coordinated with internal Stryten personnel, as well as Stryten subcontractors, to support grant proposal writing and, when necessary, sourced and engaged additional subject matter experts for additional analysis and writing support. CTE also managed technical proposal projects and performed grant proposal writing to assist with Stryten’s expanding portfolio activities in the non-lithium battery space.

Throughout the life of the project, CTE assisted in numerous concept papers, including the MAKE IT Prize Facilities Track, Smart Manufacturing Technologies for Material and Process Innovation, and the US Department of Energy’s Office of Electricity Fiscal Year 2024 Vehicle Technologies Office Batteries Funding Opportunity Announcement, and worked closely with project partners including Georgia Institute of Technology and the National Renewable Energy Lab.

CTE also assisted in writing and preparing presentations for potential vanadium redox flow battery microgrid demonstration projects for US Department of Defense applications.
