CTE's Executive Director, Dan Raudebaugh, has been selected to provide testimony in front of the US House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee at their Climate Change Hearing this year. Initially slated for March 24, the event has now been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be the second climate-focused hearing held by the Full Committee in the 117th Congress.

CTE partnered with the University of Texas Center for Electromechanics and Hagerty Consulting to investigate and demonstrate a transportable power system that will give hybrid electric buses the capability to act as on-demand, mobile electrical-power generators. Once commercialized, this technology will be especially useful in emergency disaster response and recovery when traditional power supplies are slow to deploy, not available, or not reliable.

The U.S. House of Representatives voted on Monday to pass its Fiscal Year 2020 (FY20) Appropriations Bill, The bill includes several key provisions related to the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) Low or No Emission Vehicle Program (Low-No), including setting funding levels at $75 million for FY2020, a huge win for proponents of zero-emission vehicles all over the United States.
