From the Director's Desk
For 27 years, CTE has carried our partners’ voices from the front lines of fleet electrification to Washington, D.C. We have helped establish and maintain public funding programs that make zero-emission transportation a reality in the US. CTE is engaged in over 100 active zero-emission bus and truck projects, giving us the sharpest perspective in the industry on the necessary tools and frameworks for commercializing zero-emission vehicles.
Looking ahead, I can see that the public sector’s will to fight climate change is materializing, as evidenced by President Biden’s recently announced infrastructure plan. CTE will continue to play a major role in making sure these public investments move zero-emission transportation forward, create more American jobs, and ensure climate solutions equitably benefit all communities.
However, I want to make sure CTE does more than repeat our successes in the public sector. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, CTE is gearing up to bring more private investment to bear on our vision of a carbon-free transportation system in the US.
And you can help.
Last fall, we restructured our Board of Directors to focus our lens equally on public and private partnerships. We established a Policy Committee to help us hone our focus in D.C. and Sacramento. We also established a Fundraising Committee to cultivate privately funded projects that increase our impact and more thoroughly support our members’ valuable work. We are looking for individuals who want to join these teams or support our mission through ideas of your own.
